46. můj první týden na WOL
Recently, weeks chosen for the Editor’s Choice always presented something original. The last weeks were mostly in the name of color. Today, this series is interrupted by a black and white week from photographer Marek Tihelka. His premier week in the project named ’46. My first week on WoL’ is assembled from many different images with perfectly balanced black and white toning. Even though individual days lack descriptions, it is clearly evident what the author has been through and what he experienced during the week. So, his selected profession as a photographer is legitimate and we can look forward to his upcoming weeks.

Obrazový zápisník typického českého lapiducha.
Jiri Bilek, a newcomer to the project, entered a week with a very catchy name, promising an interesting experience for all of us. A visual diary of a typical Czech paramedic is how he decided to name his week and amazed us far beyond our expectations. Jiri works as a paramedic so most of the images were taken at a hospital. However, he showed us a lot more than that - his attention to detail, his humorous side which he managed to transfer into his photographs and lastly, a little bit of that titillating atmosphere. It's simply a week you come back to once or twice in the near future.

Na hraně černobíla
A few days ago, Honza Moravec introduced himself with his first week called On the bordeline of black and white and immediately gained many supporters not only in the editor's office. This week is a quality document of a student living a frantic life in the big city with all it has to offer. The set of 63 photos includes a series of different topics and moments, including Honza's studies, images from the hospital, his free time, traveling or the fascination with trams. The slight touch of gloomy colors connected with late Fall and the thoroughly described days make it all a nice and complex unit.

Punk & Holyland part 002-LOMO.KILLER
Time passes by and the Week of Life project has witnessed the increase of sets that are original and extraordinary one way or the other. Romek Hanzlik is the latest member to deliver such a set, or rather two. He traveled to the Holy Land and decided to document local life in a unique way with two different cameras. He used a digital camera, which is nothing unusual, but secondly, he photographed with a LOMO camera, known for its flaws and imperfect results. Go ahead and browse through both of his weeks and drop a comment or two to let us know what you think of Romek's experiment.
